The Kwaebibirem Municipal Health Directorate (KMHD) today held its 2025 Annual Health Performance Review Meeting at the MEA Auditorium in Kade.
The meeting provided a platform to assess health service delivery, strengthen key interventions, and share experiences and lessons learned from CHPS compounds, health centres, and the municipal hospital.
As a key partner, NETCODA-GH participated in the review and was given the opportunity to present its 2025 annual activities in Kwaebibirem under the I Am Aware Project.
Data shared by the Health Directorate highlighted trends in adolescent pregnancy across the municipality. Encouragingly, sub-municipals supported by NETCODA-GH through the I Am Aware Project are recording notable reductions in adolescent pregnancy rates. However, the review also showed that other sub-municipals are experiencing rising trends and will require targeted interventions.
During her presentation, the Health Promotion Officer, Madam Georgina Ngar, noted that Community Health Management Committee members formed and trained under the I Am Aware Project last year have outperformed their counterparts in areas where such support was not provided.
As part of the meeting, the Municipal Director of Health Services, Dr. Brainard A. Asare, was presented with a citation of honour by the management of Kade Government Hospital, led by the Medical Superintendent, Dr. Stephen Quarcoo, in recognition of his exceptional leadership.
In his closing remarks, the Health Director expressed appreciation to NETCODA-GH and the I Am Aware Project for their continued partnership in strengthening effective health service delivery in the Kwaebibirem Municipality.
